Meadowdancing

We chase the shadows of time
across this broken path,
across our broken hearts.
The Universe unfolds before us,
and violins speak--
a sharp solitude
bouncing off of sheet rock and tempered steel--
and then a guttural resonance
sends us tumbling into multiplicities.

We make ourselves a smudge in the night--
a fantastic blur.
Deserted are the secrets we held so dear.
Forgotten is the ink of yesteryear.

Nights like these will be tattooed forever in our memories.

We drift with the clouds.
Lying naked 'neath the stars,
gasping greatness from afar.
We shall feel that pain no more.
We will drink what She will pour.

Summer Breeze

I know! I have neglected my poor bloggle for too long! I won't go into any details, but I've been a very busy girlie!

So let us get down to fashion! I've been splurging a lot lately in my spare time--and also building up a huge wishlist on etsy. There are some amazing artists out there making beautiful clothes! We should be buying them and wearing them!

We start with simply elegant and beautiful clothing by NewExtrave on etsy! I just bought a pair of their awesome slacks, and I just can't wait to receive them!!

And NOW, a tribute to one of my all-time favourite etsy shoppes, aftershowershop! I have probably spent wayyy too much money here, but I think everyone should! They do an amazing job with tie dye, and every piece is so well-made and unique.

And, last, but not least, is Lwangslifewe on etsy. There is something quiet and poetic about the style of clothing from this wonderful shoppe, don't you think?

Intense!

 O
kay, so I realize I have neglected my poor little blog for too long. School got a bit intense there for a bit--but my finals are over--and I get 12 more days until my Summer semester starts! Yay! To make my break even more exciting, I am going to see Shpongle (for the second time this year) in Atlanta on the 14th with my best buds! It is going to be amazing!

What does this break mean for Crying Calypso? That some new goodies are going to be in the shoppe this week! Yay! Keep an eye out for some good deals on vintage yummies!

So here's my super duper intense feature for the month!

I just bought these beautiful tie-dye pants from aftershowershop, and I cannot wait until they get here!

Isn't this fine art print just adorable!? And hilarious too!

Oh my god! I think I'm going to have to start collecting this set. I never knew that Hazel Atlas produced such amazing milk glass!

And WOW! This dress should be bought immediately!  The price is just crazy!

And a little something from Crying Calypso. These plates are a rare and beautiful find!

In Bloom!

I'm so excited about the arrival of Spring! I have been a little inactive lately due to some software issues on my new laptop, but everything is sailing smooth now!

My daffodils and poplar trees are in bloom, and I feel like I am coming alive with the season. I'm ready to get my hands and toes in the dirt, take lots of hiking trips, and hit up every yard sale and thrift store available!

On a personal note, I recently changed my hair to pink at the request of my Aunt Sylvia. She had a double mastectomy this morning after being diagnosed with breast cancer recently. I plan on sticking with the pink until she has fully recovered!
As usual, I am doing my weekly etsy feature (although I neglected it recently). This feature is all about Spring: the sights, the scents, and inspirations! Flowers, fresh cut grass, green, yellow, and pretty things!

Spring Pastels

It was 74 degrees today, and I am so ecstatic. I cannot wait to pull out all of my summer clothes and put away all of these heavy coats, jackets, and boots. I'm not in a particular talkative mood so let the feature do the talking. Mmmm spring.

Mushy Mushrooms

For those that keep an eye on my etsy shop, you can probably tell that I have an obsession with mushrooms and fungi. Not only do I think they are super cute as decorations, but I really enjoy identifying species in the wild and photographing them.

For anyone interested in my nature photography, click on my photo on the right. :P It will link you to my deviantArt account! I personally love this one that I took last fall while hiking with my dear friend Pratima!
Sooo... I recently had an adventure with some pineapple infused rum, and decided it was a good idea to purchase this little teddy bear from LoRiLaTortuga on etsy. I named him Sammy Bearis Jr., and I'm quite happy I purchased him! He has little mushies on his tummy and ears!

So, you all know what's coming next--yet another big feature involving "fun guys" of all sorts!
